A man, heartbroken over the death of the wife he never got to say goodbye to, is killed in a drunken hit-and-run accident. He wakes up in a place somewhere between life and death where other recently deceased souls stay before moving on to the afterlife. When he realizes that his wife may still be in this place, he races to find her before it's too late.
