Unloved and unemployed, Laeyeon's only joy in life is the mobile game "Salvation." After spending all her waking hours playing the game, her body gives out and Laeyeon loses consciousness. When she comes to, she's now Irel Elorence, one of many minor characters in "Salvation." As Lady Irel, Laeyeon can now enjoy things she never had in real life: beauty, wealth, privilege, but most of all, unconditional love from her family. However, there’s danger lurking at every corner. As a newly recognized Lisebre, Irel is now a moving target to countless demon-slaying Masakas who need people like her to neutralize their physical and mental agony. After sucking Lisebres’ energy dry, Masakas throw them away when they are no longer useful. One of Irel’s pursuers is Barkan Ha Marsh, the most powerful Masaka in existence. Cold, cruel, and extremely violent, he asks for Irel’s hand in marriage to ensure only he can have access to her energy. Laeyeon knows that in the game, Irel’s family rejects Barkan’s offer to protect their daughter. This will lead to Barkan killing Irel’s entire family and taking her away. Unwilling to see the family who loved her so much come to harm, Irel decides to change the narrative by accepting Barkan’s proposal and pretending to be in love.
